Reporting to the Technical Director, this 6-12-month fixed term position will see you embedded within a Technical team that has multiple streams of work on the go in both VoIP and SMS. As a successful applicant, you will work closely with the existing engineering teams to configure and maintain a highly scalable, reliable and resilient SMS network using Alaris SMS Platform with a focus on providing excellent services to partners.

You will work with a global team positioned in four continents. Our Head Quarters is in Ghana and operates three (3) satellite offices in USA, Ukraine and Pakistan. Ideally, you should have come from a telecommunications background with experience working on large global networks with intimate knowledge of routing protocols and label switching. Experience with Alaris SMS Platform ancloud-based platforms is a must.

What you will be doing

•Providing A2P SMS technical expertise and knowledge.
•Configurations, testing and troubleshooting services
•Developing and teaching team members to maintain the highest level of technical team knowledge of system requirements.
•Monitoring application performance and handling operational anomalies reported from stakeholders or other sources
•Proactively monitoring and maintaining the end-to-end workflows and systems.
•Performing troubleshooting, responding to trouble tickets and customer calls, monitoring alarms and following established operation and escalation procedures.
•Exhibiting basic IP Network troubleshooting knowledge. 
•Working on tickets and coordination with client and supplier. 
•Working with billing team in case of any disputed related to billing.
•Responsible for User Acceptance Test (UAT)

What we are looking for

•2+ years previous experience working in a network operations centre and/or in an analytical/routing role for a network operator or telecommunication provider. 
•Experience in working with industry-standard monitoring tools.
•Work experience in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
•Ability to work remotely from any part of the world
•A Trace Analyzer – SMPP Trace (.pcap), SS7 Trace (aspd.log)
•Good Knowledge of SS7/Sigtran, excellent knowledge of SMPP 3.4, TCP/IP.
•Ability to ensure appropriate communication among team members and with key stakeholders.
•Daily support to end Critical partner problems and maintaining the environment
•Working experience in all NOC departments (Testing, Routing, Provisioning, Configurations)
